Marriage is a school.

Unfortunately, too many of us enter into it thinking things will just work on auto-pilot. Marriage sure doesn’t work on auto-pilot.

And that applies to those who say, or think, their marriage was made in heaven also. There is work to be done. There is a part for each of us to play.

And, to be able to play our part, adequately, we need to learn the part. It does not come natural. We need to open our hearts to learn how to relate with and understand our spouse.

We need to make the effort. We need to understand each of us is a work-in-process, and hence tend to miss it every now and then. We are each at difference stages of our development.

Our place is to give each other room to grow, and not be too hard. Grace and right knowledge is the name of the game.
