Goals: Where the Rubber Meets the Road

So, do you have goals? Are there things you are hungry for in life? Does your life have a direction?
It is important to set goals in life. I set mine to the highest standard I can achieve (Usain Bolt)
Do you have a goal for where you want to be after your time here on earth is done? I know some people believe there is nothing thereafter. What if there is? Are you foolish enough to take that kind of chance? Won’t it be better to prepare for the worst-case scenario? That sounds more like common sense. The choice is yours to make.
Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible. (Tony Robbins)
Do you have a goal for your burial ceremony? What will you have the people say about you? Or, you don’t care? Is it important to you? Is your life important to you? Does it matter to you the mark you leave behind on this side of eternity? Will there be people who can say, “Just because you were, I am?” Does that matter to you? What will your epitaph be?

Some goals are not going to fulfill you. Choose goals that you value and care about. (Henry Cloud)
Do you have a goal for what kind of a person you want to be and become? Do you have a goal for what kind of a spouse you want to become? What will you have your spouse say about you when you are gone? What will you have him/her say about you when you are not their? How will you want him/her treasure you? Is that important to you? Or, you think it will just happen by chance?
People with goals succeed because they know where they're going. (Earl Nightingale)
What of your children? Do you have a goal as to how you want them to turn out? Do you have a goal as to the kind of relationship you want to build with them? Or, you think things just evolve of their own accord? Really? I know for sure, you much better than that. What of your siblings, your parents, your colleagues, etc.? Any goal for the kind of relationship you want to build with them?
Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals and charge after them in an unstoppable manner. (Les Brown)
So, why is it important to have goals for all these and more? The truth is if you don’t, you have nothing to measure against. There is no way to tell your improvement, or lack thereof. No way to tell if you are becoming a better person, or not? You have nothing to aim for, no target. And, when there is no target there is no incentive to make the sacrifices required.

Goals transform a random walk into a chase. (Mihaly Csiksgentmihalyi)
Goals allow you to control the direction of change in your favor. (Brian Tracy)
Your goals are the road maps that guide you and show you what is possible for your life. (Les Brown)

So, time to set goals for EVERY department of your life. Live by purpose. Live by strong reasons. Make a difference in your generation. That is why you are here.
If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. Whatever good things we build end up building us. (Jim Rohn)
Road to Success (Napoleon Hill)
Road to Royal (Debra Rayburn)
Where are the people who don't have goals headed? Those 97 per cent end up working for the three percent. (Shiv Khera)
