Thanks be to God

Upheld by Grace
My thanks be to the Lord, God for another birthday. I am grateful to be alive today. Not by power, nor by might, but by His Spirit alone. What the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good and is continually bringing to fruition. I do not take every little breath of life for granted. I do not take every little enablement for granted. I do not take every little gifting, influence, and opportunity for granted. They have all come about by His grace, and by His grace alone. I am forever indebted to God, and never ashamed to be. My thanks will ever be continual and never enough.

Thanks be to the Lord, God for the DAY I was born. Mark Twain says, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” What a tragedy it is to live out of order, without purpose, target, and a definite end. Just how many are frustrated trying to live in another's garment, or walk in a path that is not theirs.

As it were, God does not give us the whole picture in one sitting. He opens it to us one page at a time, lest it blows our minds. He only gives us what we can handle each step of the way. And, as we live faithfully in that which we know, He shows us more, opening the door(s) to it. Thanks be to the Lord, God for the journey in discovery and revelation. Thank God for walking in one’s path, and not another man’s own.

My thanks to God for the in-betweens of life. A wise man once said, “we might not have been able to determine the day we were born, or the day we will die, but the in-between is up to us.” I thank God for the in-betweens of life. The times between the valley and the mountain top experience; the times between obscurity and prominence; the times between ignorance and knowing as you are known; the times between poverty and having more than enough. The in-betweens make a man, the times in the backside of the desert, the times that are hidden from the public eye. I am grateful for all the in-betweens of my life.

Thanks to all you who have been a part of my pilgrimage. Thanks to you all who are a part of my pilgrimage. Thanks to all who will be a part of my pilgrimage. I am grateful to you all. Our paths have not crossed by chance. It was and is all preordained by God. It was that we might influence each other for good, both in this life and in eternity. I am hoping we have fulfilled and are fulfilling that intent. Thanks for being a part of my life. I could not have made it without you. Thank God for you.

Happy Golden Birthday to me.
