Be a Student, Not a Follower

Life MUST be approached from the place of strength, not weakness. Approaching life from the place of weakness is failing from the word go. “You can only perform from strength, you cannot perform from weakness.” (Peter Drucker) You cannot build a great life by focusing on your weakness. Focusing on your strengths, and harnessing them will find you greatness. You cannot build excellence on weakness.
Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate. (John F. Kennedy)
So, when you approach knowledge, never come in with your ignorance. Come to it with what you already know. Don’t be gullible. You are not useless. You are not empty. No one is, irrespective of how little you presently know. Let what you presently know be your guide. Be a student, not a follower. Ask questions. Challenge what is being proposed based on what you already know. Read to own, not to be enslaved. It is your one life. Own it.
Finding is reserved for those that search. (Jim Rohn)
Remember the Berea's Christians. [Acts 17:10-12] The scriptures call them "more noble." Wow! What a honor? What an example to follow? Never ever allow yourself to be lose your locus of control. It must always stay with you. You need to be in control of your learning. You need to be in control of your growth. You need to be in control of your development. And, MUST ALWAYS come from a place of strength, not weakness.
Reading makes a full man, meditation a profound man, discourse a clear man. (Benjamin Franklin)
Never ever look down on yourself. You have all it takes to move you to the next level of your life. Don't let anyone take that away from you. It is your one life. Own it. Take care of it.
