A God Who Answers | Part Twenty.

We continue with our meditations in The Book of Daniel, as we continue to dig deeper into verse 13 of Chapter 10. It reads,
"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia."
Religion presents to us a God we can use, and we are all so at home with such, even though the proposers use it to enslave us. They understand the struggle and war raging within us and offer temporary seeming solutions that keep us coming for more.

It is more like the medical field, they offer us temporary solutions that keep us in need, possibly for the rest of our lives. It is maintenance, rather than a solution. I remember visiting out to Thailand, where the national religion is Buddhism. One will see shrines to Budda in not a few homes and locations.

I was told, the shrines are probably not compulsory, but when and if you choose to have one, you MUST maintain it. Meaning one had to perform the regular sacrifices. What will make one carry such a burden? What will make one get on a prescription you have to be on the rest of your life.

Obviously, it is the pressure of the immediate need. The need to assuage the immediate pressure, struggle, and pain. Once on the cycle, one is then at the mercy of the cycle. One is a lawful captive. Just how many of us are entangled in thinking we are serving God but are simply worshiping religion.

God is not looking for prisoners to worship Him. He does not receive the sacrifice of prisoners. He ONLY receives that which is freely, wholeheartedly, and cheerfully given. [2 Corinthians 9:7] He only receives "LIVING SACRIFICES," not dead sacrifices. [Romans 12:1]

God is not man, nor does He reside here on earth. He is our Father, who art in heaven, not on earth. [Matthew 6:9] He is spirit, not flesh. He is not in all the skims and gimmicks we see around. He is true. He is real and wants us to worship Him as such. He wants to meet with the real us. [John 4:24] Would you let Him?

Let's pray.

The Saint.
