Introduction:
We continue with the second part of our third way "To Improve Your Self Confidence (Drastically!).” Just finished re-reading an old article by one of my mentors, Jim Rohn. To quote him, he said, "Enterprise is always better than ease. Every time we choose to do less than we possibly can, it affects our self-confidence, our self-worth. If we keep doing a little less every day, we are also being a little less." Isn't that rather sage? The way to be more is to do more - more of the right things obviously.
You Are Energy:
Each of us is energy, human energy. The question is "what are you going to do with the energy that is you." (Oprah Winfrey) You are either going to use this energy for your own good and that of others, or the same energy will turn against you, incapacitate and destroy you. One thing is certain the energy cannot be kept idle. It is either used, or it will be used. The onus is on us to use it to extend the boundaries of possibilities in our life and leave our own dent in the world.
So, like Eleanor counseled, we have no other choice, but to capture new territories to fulfill the intent of our creation. It is our rite of passage. None of us was placed here to be inconsequential. That will be a waste of creation. We are all here to make an impact, to leave our own imprint upon life. We are each here to be immortal, to live beyond our own self. We need to each day push the boundaries of our comfort zone. That is the only way to find out all that is possible for us.
This is no license to be stupid, though. Remember we all can move mountains, but we have to do it one stone at a time. There is no use going for what our back is unable to sustain per time. Nope. We need to have time as an ally on this journey. All good things are built. Wealth is built. Health is built. Success is built. A career is built. Life is built. You are in an infinite game, not a finite one. You are not in competition with anyone else, but your own very self.
So, extending the boundaries of our comfort zone need not be done at any other's pace, but yours. You are the initiator, the sustainer, and the judge. The most important thing and motivator is progress.
