Diversity and Inclusion, Not Conformity:

Equity is the Name of the Game
We are each unique in our own way. That is the beauty of nature. The beauty of creation. There are no two exact same persons. Life is about each of us bringing our uniqueness to work together as one, in an environment where everyone is free to be themselves without fear of retribution. That is called having a psychologically safe work, and should I add, and living environment.

Howbeit there are people who would want you to be like them. They don't necessarily come at it openly, but rather subtlely. Like the pigs in George Orwell's allegorical novella, Animal Farm, they class themselves as the more equal ones. Again not outlandishly, but in cunning deceptive overtures. They want everyone else to fit a particular mold, their mold.

These are enemies of individuality, the very essence of creation. They want to think for you. In their corrupt minds, "you are only to be seen not heard." Anyone remembers where that phrase was popularized? Yeah! And, you know what became of such people. The stunted growth, lack of affirmation, self-worth, self-esteem, self-confidence, and the list go on.

Animal Farm, which was written back in 1945, depicted how the communist movement started with talks of helping the people and about letting everyone have a voice. Their stated intent was to create a society where everyone can be equal, free, and happy. History and Animal Farm is a testament to the way that all turned out. This is the exact same way Peer Pressure works.

The similarity across these different examples points to the commonality of their source. They are all geared at mind control. They create an environment where you have little or no need to exercise your brain. You are seen more like a commodity than a person, a tool to achieve an end objective. More like the serpent, they come in with lofty promises only to reveal who they truly are after gaining mastery.

Then, they start providing several excuses as to why their original promises are unattainable. Yet refuse to relinquish control. Theirs is not diversity and inclusion, but conformity to their utopian model geared at controlling the populace. And, you sure know where such originates. Yet those who are supposed to know better are out juxtaposing to take the lead. "The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity." (Rollo May)

He who made us never intended for us to be the same. That is free knowledge, understanding, and wisdom that can be seen in creation. The multiplicity of species has engrained wisdom, we can all freely learn from. We all have equal rights to be here on this planet, equal rights as humans, no one is more human than the other, but we are not all the same.

We are different. And, there is nothing wrong with that. Different is not a mistake. Different is not a tragedy. Different is not the end of the world. Different is not to be despised. Different is to be celebrated and optimally harness for the common good, without usurping or belittling anyone. We don't gin any strength from deception.

We don't progress by denying our differences. Rather, the way of strength and growth is to acknowledge and celebrate them. We are all unique in our own special way. None is less. None is more. We each have our own unique strengths we can bring to the table. Obviously, we also have unique weaknesses we each need to keep at bay. It is not a zero-sum game. It is our collective whole accentuating our individual contributions.

"Diversity and inclusion" is all about acceptance and celebration. It is acceptance of each one, irrespective of background, ethnicity, etc. It is allowing each one to have a voice. It is celebrating each person’s uniqueness and not attempting to act as if the uniqueness does not exist. It is not conformity to the figment of someone’s imagination.
