Overcoming the Fear of Commitment (Day 9)

Pain is Inevitable. Suffering is Optional
To quote Marie Curie,
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”
In the same token, commitment is not to be feared. It is only to be understood better. Our fear originates from our ignorance or rather a lack of understanding.

Gaining a better understanding, and thereby overcoming this fear is our main thrust. And, the key to the life of our dreams.
“Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice.” (Will Smith)
“You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn't exist anywhere except in the mind.” (Dale Carnegie)
“Fears are nothing more than a state of mind.” (Napoleon Hill)
Fear is something we create in our minds, based on a thought we choose to dwell on and personalize. It is our interpretation of the world, aided by the promptings of our survival instinct. In the same way, we created it, we can also uncreate it. All we need do is get a better understanding of and change our interpretation of the stimulant event (cue).
