Parenting is...

Parenting is an act of trust. You have to trust in the process. You have to understand and accept your limitations. You have to know the things you can do and the things you cannot do. You have to focus on the things you can do, and entrust the things you cannot to the hands of providence. You need to know when to hold tightly to your children and how to progressively release them to THEIR own destiny.

"Their own," never lose sight of that. For parenting is simply stewardship on behalf of Him from whom all spirits come. We don't own our children. We are only caretakers. Let us be careful to ensure the will and purpose of the owner is what has to sway. Pray with open eyes and ears looking for and listening to what the grand plan is for them. And, put all you have into aligning them accordingly.

Remember you are designed for success. You are designed to be a parent. The only challenge might be what life might have done to your programming. If your programming is faulty work on it. Open your heart to learn, grow, and mature. You cannot give what you do not have.

There is, however, no room for excuses. You can grow. You can change. You are no old dog, set in its ways. You are no tree. You can get better. You are getting better. You are a winner. You are a successful parent.
