The Power of the Present Moment

Contentment
The Extremes:

It is easy to dwell in the extremes of anything or venture. Dwelling in extremes takes little or no positive mental investment. Maintaining balance takes all the thinking we can conjure. The challenge is most people are mentally lazy. Balance is the challenge and most important aspect of life. Isn’t it amazing how some people cannot seem to leave the yesterday of their life?

Isn’t it amazing how others are too much in a hurry to get on with things? These are two extremes concerning the three (3) days in a person’s life – yesterday (past), today (present), and tomorrow (future). Some cannot seem to leave the yesterday of their life? Someone hurt them ten (10) years ago, and they are still living in the power of the hurt as if it only happened this week. Wow!
Yesterday is Gone!

Yesterday is gone! Learn the lesson and move on. You have today to live. You have tomorrow to prepare for. Your life is worth much more than the "hurt" or "pain." You are bigger than that. It happened. There is no wishing it away. It happened! (How more clearer can it be said?) No matter how bad it was, it happened! And, it happened to you, not someone else. There is no wishing it away, nor way of changing the event, no matter how many times you hit your head against the wall.
"The present moment is the pivotal point of power." — Debbie Ford.
"The point of power is always in the present moment." — Louise L. Hay.
"The present moment is the only moment available to us, and it is the door to all moments." — Thich Nhat Hanh.
For You, Not To You:

It happened not just "TO YOU," but it happened "FOR YOU." There is life after the hurt. There is a reason the hurt did not kill you. It is because there is a miracle in your today and your tomorrows. There are hidden BLESSINGS in every bad occurrence. It really does not matter which part of the world you find yourself, or what kind of evil we are talking about.

There is a blessing equal to or greater than the hurt hidden therein. Will you open your mind to take hold of it today? Your pain; your life is worth every ounce of the gold mine. If your hurt did not kill you, let it make you stronger. Let it make you better. Let it make you fulfill your potentials. Let it make you fulfill your destiny.
"Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it." — Eckhart Tolle.
"If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present." — Lao Tzu.
The Future is Not Real:

Now, there are others on the other extreme of life. They always dwell in the future. They do not stop to learn from yesterday. They do not gain wisdom from the yesterdays of their life. They are under the illusion there is nothing to garner from yesterday. Unknown to these, today and tomorrow are built on the foundation of yesterday. There is no today; there is no tomorrow without a yesterday.

Nothing just happens. "Show me your yesterday, and I can about predict your today and your tomorrow. For, yesterday is the seed of the harvest today." Yesterday and today are the seed of the harvest of tomorrow.
"Show me your yesterday, and I can about predict your today and your tomorrow. For, yesterday is the seed of the harvest today."
"You have the power in the present moment to change limiting beliefs and consciously plant the seeds for the future of your choosing. As you change your mind, you change your experience." — Serge King.
"The world is waiting for you to wake up to the person you are called to be. Stop listening to the negative inner conversation that’s causing you to play small. Focus your mind on positive thoughts, possibilities, and solutions that can move you forward. Tap into your creativity and determination and stay busy. Stay focused." — Les Brown.
Balance Is It:

The place of balance is rightly appropriating the yesterdays and the tomorrows of our life to live in the present moment. We learn the right lessons from our yesterdays. We forget the things that might be deterrents or limitations. We don’t do this by running from them. We do this by rightly defining (framing and/ reframing) them for what they are.

We speak the truth over the facts. Remember, facts are temporary - subject to change. Truths are eternal - transcend time, space, and occurrences. Never forget that. We look into the future with hope, vision, dreams, and goals. We expect the very best but also prepare for the very worse. We have an answer for WHATEVER tomorrow might bring. We do not face tomorrow as DAYDREAMERS.
"Remember, facts are temporary - subject to change. Truths are eternal - transcend time, space, and occurrences. Never forget that."
Yes, we have dreams, but we also realize we need to wake to realize them. We know we need to work on our dreams, so they can work for us. We face tomorrow as people prepared to win. And, win, we shall. Win, we do.
