God doesn’t want us to ignore the past; the past should be a rudder to guide us, not an anchor to hold us back. (Warren W. Wiersbe)
There is that popular saying, which says, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Don’t let life fool you twice. Let that which you have garnered from the experience of life (both yours and others) give you speed. Life is too short to keep on repeating the same old mistakes. You are wiser than that. Life is about sitting on the shoulders of the giants of our yesterdays. This is so we can achieve much more; we can go much faster and further than they ever did. Our yesterdays should be our starting point, not our examples to repeat. You’ve got one shot at life. Make it count.
