Just as I am

Trusting Only in Your Mercy

A Nature of Worship:

The calling, with which we are called, in Christ Jesus, is one of conviction. It is not one of the following traditions. It is one which calls to the totality of our being, from its very core. It is not a mere response to practice, as in religion. It is the totality of our being yielding to God. For God will either have all or nothing. In John 4:23, Jesus tells us, “…now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

GOD IS LOOKING FOR TRUE WORSHIPPERS!

That is the reason why Jesus went to the cross. He did not go to the cross for mouth (lip) worshipers [Matthew 15:8]. He did not go to the cross to create another religion. He went to the cross to bring to birth TRUE WORSHIPERS. True worshipers worship because they want to; because they love to. Worship oozes out of their being. They do not worship because it is Sunday. They do not worship because their pastor (or some Bishop or Prophet) asked them to.

They do not worship because it is part of the creed of their denomination. They do not worship because they are looking for something from God. THEY WORSHIP BECAUSE IT IS PART OF THEIR NATURE. THEY HAVE MADE IT A PART OF THEIR NATURE. God is seeking true worshipers. [John 4:23]. Will He find one in you? Will you go beyond the outer court into the Holy of Holies, where He bids us, come?

Are you satisfied with massaging your ego, being only satisfied with the appearance of godliness? There is more in God, and He wants us to experience Him. Come to the fountain and drink. And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12, NKJV) The way of a true worshiper is upstream, not downstream. Downstream is the way of tradition. It is the way of following the status quo. It is the way of belonging with the crowd.

When you are going downstream, you don’t have to know why a thing is being done. You just do it because everyone else is doing it, or because you are told to, or because you have always done it like that. That is shallow living. That is not the way of the true worshiper. A true worshiper “seeks to know, even as he is known.” The true worshiper’s cry is, “That I may know Him (Jesus Christ).” [Philippians 3:10a, NKJV It is,

“…I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded….” (2 Timothy 1:12b, NKJV) He/she is one with a purpose. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. (Revelations 21:6, NKJV) Are you thirsting after God? Will you take from the fountain of the water of life

A People of Depth.

God is looking for people with depth in their worship. That is the spirit of the first and greatest of all, commandments. (Mark 12:28-33) He calls for all, nothing left behind - all of our heart, all of our soul, our mind, all of our strength, and our understanding. He wants our all. Nothing but all is good enough for our God. He is looking for people with wholehearted worship. Not people who worship Him only on Sundays or within the four walls of the church.

He is looking for people who carry their devotion to their workplace, the marketplace, school, or wherever they might find themselves. He is looking for people who Jesus is crowned Lord in EVERY AREA of their lives, NO EXCEPTIONS. These are the kind of people God wants to show Himself strong on their behalf. (2 Chronicles 16:9) His eyes go to and fro the whole earth looking for such that He might be God in their situation. He wants to distinguish such from all others.

These are such that God will answer even before they call (Isaiah 65:24). These are such that God takes pleasure in bringing to pass the desires of their heart. (Psalm 37:4) His name is upon them. (Numbers 6:27) Their failure becomes His failure. Their success becomes His success. He becomes personal about their lives. Will you be such? Are you such? There is room for you. Come up, thither.
