Choose Life (Part Seventeen): The Word is Sancrosant.

The Word - Our Covenant Rights
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:5-6, NKJV)
We continue this week with the story of the sick man healed at the Pool of Bethesda. [John 5:1-15].

Some people think they are entitled to have everything on their own terms, their own way, and at their own time. This kind of thinking might not be altogether wrong if they understand the price for their expectations and are willing to pay. But lo and behold, most don’t even have the slightest of clues.

They fail to understand, principles and laws bear rule. They have no inkling of cause and effect. They have no clue THINGS DON’T JUST HAPPEN. They are oblivious to the truth. People make things happen by their alignment with LAWS and PRINCIPLES.

So, where do you stand? Are you waiting for good things to come your way of their own accord? Or, are you calling them forth? Are you placing demands on life?
Things don’t just happen. You make them happen.  William Cooper Procter.
Things don't just happen, they have reasons. And the reasons have reasons. And the reasons for the reasons have reasons. And then the things that happen make other things happen, so they become reasons themselves. Nothing moves forward in a straight line, nothing is straightforward. – Kevin Brooks.
God’s word is settled in heaven. [Psalm 119:89] He will not be making the shift. Our place is to fall in line, receive life and prosperity, or fall out and receive the recompense of death and impoverishment. The choice is ours to make. It’s time we get with the program and win.

It's time we begin to make the necessary shifts in our lives to bring about an answer to our prayers. We have waited long and hard. It is time to let go and let God.
You must change your approach in order to change your results.  Jim Rohn.
We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us – how we can take it, what we do with it – and that is what really counts in the end.  Joseph Fort Newton.
Are you sticking to your old way(s), or are you willing to make the shift? Are you willing to make the shift to get that which you desire? Has your heart known the place of maturity? The place of “Lord, MAKE ME!” Is the disposition of your heart that of “Lord, make me, whatever it takes? I am willing.”

Have you made the adjustments necessary to obey Him? Or, are you still at the baby stage of life? Are you at the “Give me” level?  Where do you stand? Are you giving the ALL SUFFICIENT ONE place? Are you allowing Him “Shaddai” you with all His goodness and mercies?

He takes pleasure in blessing His own. [Psalm 35:27] Are you His own?
