Topic: The Favored One - Part Twenty-One.

Text: “So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.”” ― Daniel 1:11-13, NKJV.

TFO Keynote #61: Faith is always looking forward, never backward. Our destination is God. All that we want is in front of us. Nothing that we want is behind us. (Hebrews 11:9-10)

“Every great move forward in your life begins with a leap of faith, a step into the unknown.” ― Brian Tracy.

“Never give up hope. All things are working for your good. One day, you'll look back on everything you've been through and thank God for it.” ― Germany Kent.

"The future, though mysterious, is not the gray blank many of us expect it to be. The future is the storehouse of God’s merciful plans, if only we had eyes to see them." ― Scott Hubbard.

"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV)

“Real change is difficult at the beginning. Without the familiar to rely upon, you may not in as much command as you had once been. When things are not going your way, you will start doubting yourself. Stay positive, keep the faith, and keep moving forward – your breakthrough may be just around the corner.” ― Roy T. Bennett.

TFO Keynote #62: There are prerequisites to God's promises. They only become real in our lives when we receive them with faith. That is, we meet our own end of the bargain. (Hebrews 11:11-12; Matthew 9:20-22)

“True faith is never found alone; it is always accompanied by expectation. The man who believes the promises of God expects to see them fulfilled. Where there is no expectation, there is no faith.” ― A.W. Tozer.

TFO Keynote #63: Faith is seeing everything in the face of eternity and trusting in the faithfulness of God. (Hebrews 11:13; Job 19:25, 14:14; Matthew 5:30)

"Lord, stamp eternity on my eyeballs." ― Jonathan Edwards.

“Faith is like a radar that sees through the fog.” ― Corrie Ten Boom.

"My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." ― Psalm 62:5 (NKJV)

“Notice the word ‘hope’ (in Psalm 62:5). The Hebrew term literally means ‘a cord, as an attachment.’ Every one of us is hanging on to something or someone for security… if it’s someone or something other than God alone, you’re hanging on by a thread – the wrong thread.” – Beth Moore.

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." ― 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV)

TFO Keynote #64: Faith is the assurance that I have today for the place called there. (Hebrews 11:14; Proverbs 29:18)

Faith is the persuasion of my vision and mission.

Nothing risked, nothing lost—and nothing gained.

"For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland." ― Hebrews 11:14 (NKJV)

"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." ― Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)

The Saint.
