It's the Picture in Your Head:

“It's our imagination that is responsible for love, not the other person.” — Marcel Proust.

Is that a concept that resonates with you? Do you understand the interplay between our imagination, our personality, and behavior?

Like we like to say, where the focus goes, the energy follows. This applies to every area of our life, including our love life.

I am in love with my wife because my imagination makes it so. I choose to keep my imagination, making it so by the things I focus on.

I can choose to focus on the shortfall of my wive. Guess what the result of that will be. You sure are correct. My imagination will magnify it and paint her up as a devil.

Guess what then happens to my love for my wife. Will it go up or down? The same applies when or if I start focusing on having an affair with someone other than my wife.

My imagination will seek ways to justify and make it so. The whole of our system seeks congruency. Once you tip the balance in any way, there is a general movement to regain balance regardless of the ethics involved.

So, keep your imagination in the direction you want your life to go. Don't be deceived by the mistake of the romantics. They assume love just happens. Love true. Nothing just happens in this life.

We are each the masters of our own fate and the captains of our own souls.

Still Loving You.
St. Akin de Great.
