Trust in Your Future

Looking Into My Future.

"You realize that our mistrust of the future makes it hard to give up the past." — Chuck Palahniuk.

Until you give up your past, you are a prisoner, you are a slave, you are an accident, already happening, in chains, being pulled to a definite destiny you have no clue about.

Your past is a memory. Your future is imaginary. The only reality you have in this very moment. If and or when you live anywhere other than in the present moment, you are not living.

Outside of the present moment, you are merely existing, in every sense of the word. Hence, to take ownership of our pilgrimage, we need to always live in the present moment.

There is nothing in your past that you need. There is nothing in your past that needs you. All that you need and want are in your future. All that needs and wants are in your future.

Stop focusing on your past. It is gone. It has happened. It is an old painting. It is old-crop. Stop keeping it fresh. Stop watering it. Stop wasting your paint on its canvas. It is "finito."

There are greater things in the future. Your greatness is in your future, not in your past. You can repaint it. You can paint a far more beautiful picture on the canvas of your today and your tomorrows.

You can plant again. You can water and cultivate today and tomorrows’ crop. There are limitless possibilities in the future. What are you waiting for?
