Finishing 2021 Strong

"The journey doesn't take care of itself, you've to plan it." — John Maxwell.

This is worth repeating. So, I'll do just that.

2021 does not take care of itself. Nothing about 2021 will be automatic. There will be winners, just as much as there will be losers.

I guess we all want to be winners. Right? Anyone planning to lose? You'll never know. There just might be some people planning to lose in 2021. I know you are not in that number.

We all want to win, individually and collectively. Right? The challenge is though losing is automatic, winning is not. If you do not plan to win, you'll simply be planning to lose.

So, people lose not because they necessarily plan or want to. People lose because they failed to plan and execute their plan around winning.

That is what we mean about 2021 not taking care of itself. It will only go wheresoever you direct it intentionally or unintentionally. It is a merciless slave. It will only answer to your bidding.

So, what bidding are you giving to 2021? Are you envisioning it already? Do you know how, where, and what you want to feel, be, and have, respectively, on December 31st, 2021?

Do you know how much of that progress you want to be done by mid-year 2021? What about the first quarter, January, first week, and first day?

You do remember all that Stephen Covey taught us on two creations. Right or wrong? He said, "All things are created twice; first mentally; then physically." 

He continues, "The key to creativity is, to begin with, the end in mind, with a vision and a blueprint of the desired result.”

So, what do you get from this? You need to create your 2021 mentally before you begin to live it, that is, physical. You have to finish the year before the year begins. 

You have to finish the month before the month begins. You have to finish the week before the week begins. You have to finish the day before the day begins. 

That is the secret to having a perfect day, week, month, and year. Remember, it is not automatic. Nothing in this life is. Nothing! Not your destiny, your calling, or your whatsoever.

Everything is created by your active involvement or the lack of it. You determine your judgment. Not God, not your ancestors, not your environment, and not your whatsoever.

You got the keys. How are you using them?
