Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you made it. I long for this place. 'Tis my stay, my place of strength, comfort, and peace.
We continue leading ourselves to The Throne Room with our meditations in The Book of Daniel. We move on to Daniel 6:12. It reads,
"And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.”"
What amazes me in this verse of scripture is the seeming innocent disposition they approached the king with. They were so very much like their father, the devil. It looked so much like they meant no harm, yet they ochestrated the whole scene.
This brings to mind my encounter in the office when I got back from Houston. The could have sworn the leader of the whole charade had nothing to do with it. He was seemingly sopft spoken, like he could not hurt an ant. More so, he is supposedly close to his pastor.
No wonder the scriptures tells us to beware of the wiles of the devil. And, I dare add, and that of his children also. They look innocent, but they are no different from their corrupt mind. The feign religiosity, but sure zero in soirituality. Christianity to them is mere fashion.
May God save us from evil men.
Let's pray.
The Saint.
