Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 15 W 1 D 2.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you could join us.

We continue leading ourselves into The Throne Room with meditations in The Book of Daniel. Today we land on Daniel 6:25-27. It reads,

"Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth:
Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions."

Daniel let his light so shine before men, that Darius saw his good works and glorified his Father in heaven. [Matthew 5:16] Why? Why did Darius not praise Daniel? Why did he rather praise the God of Daniel, and not Daniel?

It was clear this was not the work of a man. Only a God could have worked this deliverance. This was the kind of faith Darius and the people of his times had in the lion. Only a god could have delivered Daniel. This was much more than Daniel himself. It was the hand of the God he put his trust in.

Can this be said of you too? Can this be said of me too? Is our God efficacious in the issue of our life, or are we just about the form of the religion, and deny the inherent power therein? Is our God alive or dead? Is He powerful?

It is not in our words. It is in our lives. Where is the bottleneck? Is it with us, or with the god we serve? We know beyond all doubt that Jehovah is efficacious. If He is not being seen in our lives, He is not the bottleneck. We are. What are we going to do about it? What are we doing about it?

Let us pray.

The Saint.
