Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 6 D 4.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue with our meditations in The Book of Daniel, as we lead ourselves into The Throne Room. We land on Daniel 6:23 today. It reads,

"Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God."

I love every part of this verse.

First, it reads, "Now the King was EXCEEDINGLY glad for him [Daniel]." Do you know how to rejoice for other people? That is a determinant of the quality of your own life. If you cannot TRULY rejoice FOR other people, not just WITH others, there is an issue with your life, your self-worth.

The FOR should come before the WITH. There is genuinely no WITH without FOR. Clear? There was a time in my life when that was a challenge. I was overly concerned about my own life. Other people's joy was a question over my own life.

Why not me, I asked. What is it about them? Not as though I was envious, or sad for them. My life was not just together. The center was not holding. I was chasing a relationship that was not working. My relationship with God was not where it needed to be, either.

Not as though I walked in sin, but I was ignorant of how to be on top of it. Yet, those around me felt I was very spiritual. They thought I had it all together. Thank God, he did not give us x-raying abilities.

I have come a long way since then. I knew I had issues, and I focused on and addressed them. Thank God, I am not who I used to be. I have come a long way. Thank God for who I am today. I am all that I am because of all I have been through. It did not swallow me up, so it has made me stronger.

Let's pray.

The Saint.
