Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 5 D 1.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue with our meditations in The Book of Daniel, as we lead ourselves into The Throne Room. Today we land on Daniel 6:20. It reads,

"And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”"

I love the descriptive detail of the bible. It truly is a book of examples - those to follow and those to dissuade from. Dr. David Martyn Llyod-Jones says, it so well, when he says "the bible is not a religious book." It is a book with instructions on how to live this life victoriously.

I love the description of the tone of Darius' voice - "lamenting." Darius had been in intercession for Daniel through the night. It had been like he was the one in the den of the lions. He realized the limitations of his own powers and called on Him who can do all we can't. Our end of discussion.

That Darius' prayers were focused is clear in the words he used in calling out to Daniel. He had prayed through the night and his call was in line with his prayers, and his expectation. He was one, integer with his prayers. Are you?

Let's pray.

The Saint.
