Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 5 D 5.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue our meditations in The Book of Daniel as we lead ourselves into The Throne Room. Today we are at Daniel 6:19. It reads,

"Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions."

Wow! What will make the King leave so early and in a haste? Would you? Could it be because he was expecting his prayer to be answered? Was it because he had a burning desire? Was it his commitment to the answer to his prayers? Was it his faith?

The answers to all the questions are yes, yes, and yes. All are yes. That is why his prayer was answered. He was set on just one outcome. He did not dilly-dally between two possible outcomes. And, the one who answers prayers never fails such.

These are lacking in most of our supposed prayers today. No wonder they are no better than mere noisemaking. We lack focus, a burning desire, and faith. Hence, we simply pray amiss to simply feel religious.

Darius committed his very existence to his prayer being answered. He shut down every other thing and was expectant of his prayers being answered. He was in haste to receive the answer to his prayers.

That draws a parallel with Elijah. The scriptures tell us the heartfelt prayer of a righteous man causes much power to be available for its working. [James 5:16] Heaven says yes.

Let's pray.

The Saint.
