Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 3 D 4.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue with our meditations in Daniel 6:10, as we lead ourselves into The Throne Room. Daniel 6:10 reads,

"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days."

Daniel did not only pray in times of crisis. Nope. It was his custom, his habit. He prayed in and out of season. Just like Jesus, he did not only pray when it was convenient, or when he felt like it. His praying was not to meet some count or accolade.

You know some people only pray so as to be able to tell others they do? Their only disposition to prayer is the intent of making boost of their phantom spirituality. They want to be counted amongst those who say they do. Their association with prayer does not go beyond their head.

No wonder such fall apart in the evil day, the day of adversity. The day when the things that are not stable are shaken away, and only the stable things remain. Their phantom prayer disposition fails them because it had no depth in them.

Daniel's altar answered for him in the day of adversity only because it was genuine. He did not only come to the altar because of what he needed. He came regularly to give thanks. He knew and understood that all he was, is, and can ever be comes from above. He judged God right and true.

Do you? Why do you pray? To tell someone you do? To feel spiritual? To feel belonging to a particular sect or class? Or do you pray just because of God? Is He your reason? Your only reason? If there were no crises, will you still pray?

Let's pray.

The Saint.
