Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 2 D 3.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue with our meditations in Daniel 6:10, as we lead ourselves to "The Throne Room," with a study in "The Book of Daniel. Daniel 6:10 reads,

"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days."

When Daniel knew the battleline had been drawn against him, he did not shake, nor run shelter skelter. He did not react. Rather, he responded. He acted responsibly in the attack of the evil one. He did not give his control away. He did not lose heart.

He rose above the situation. He did condescend to the level of the devil and his agents. He rose to his own level. He rose to the heavenly places. He knew the weapons of his warfare are not carnal. He was not going to get into the mud with the pigs. He rose to the highway, where he belongs.

He heard the words of Jesus, years after him. He was not going to be overcome by evil. Rather he sorted to overcome evil with good. He addressed the issue with wisdom, without losing the very sense of who he is before God and man.

I have a lot to learn from Daniel. The normal me would have addressed the issue face-on. After all, I have a good tongue for a reason. The kingdom suffereth violence and the righteous taketh it by force. Right? I have done that several times in the past and won.

Yes, I might have won the battle with my skillful communication skills and tactfulness, but I lost the war. Of what use is winning the battle, if only to lose the war? Would one not rather lose the battle, but win the war? Such is the wisdom we see here in Daniel.

The wisdom from above is pure. God gives us wisdom.

Let us pray.

The Saint.
