Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 14 W 2 D 2.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you made it.

We continue with our meditation in Daniel 6:10 as we lead ourselves into "The Throne Room." Daniel 6:10 reads,

"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days."

The very first sentence of this verse is loaded. It reads again, "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home." Where do you go when you are troubled? Where do you go when things are not going the way you envisaged, in the day when adversity visits you?

Wherever you go is where your heart is. We all go where our heart is when our strength is gone. Home is where we go to find rest and comfort. No wonder, God was upset when Asa chose rather go elsewhere but Him. His 20 years of peace had drifted his heart away from God.

God's word to Asa is instructive for us all. It reads,

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”" [2 Chronicles 16:9, NKJV]

Where you go in the day of adversity is your idol. That is your god. Which is yours? You don't have to answer me. Your life will answer on the day of your visitation. Wherever you go is your altar. If your altar to Jehovah is potent, that is where your heart will drift. If not it will go wherever you have built as an alternative to Jehovah.

The time of peace is the opportunity to build your altar to Jehovah. Are you building?

Let's pray.

The Saint.
