Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.
We continue leading ourselves into the Theone Room with our meditations in The Book of Daniel. We today land on Daniel 6:5. It reads,
"Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”"
What comes to mind as I read this verse is Psalm 2:1-4. It reads,
"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision."
This is sweet in my native dialect and in pidgin English. I cannot resist the temptation of transliterating it. It reads, "Why una put head together dey shake, make noises and form? Devil dey gee una strange dream sey una get dey tins wey una no get. Una won break my people for back. Na laugh I just dey laugh una for up here. Una don see una sef for mirror?
I love God. He teacheth our hands to war. He fights our battles for us. That is why it is good warfare we are called to fight. Our God has given the enemies over to us. Their defense has left them. They are bread for our eating.
Hallelujah. Happy New Month.
Let's pray.
The Saint.
