Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.
We lead ourselves into the Throne Room as we continue with our meditation in "The Book of Daniel." We are still digging in Daniel 6:4. It reads,
"So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him." (NKJV)
Daniel was faithful - he had integrity, he was whole, he had internal victory over the elements of this life. He had no enemy within that the enemy could connect with in bring him down. He was loyal to that which he believed in.
He was not necessarily perfect. No one is. In our fallen nature none of us can be. But our hearts can be. That is what God told Asa he was looking for. That was what God saw in Noah, Abraham, and the rest of the Patriarch. He could trust in their hearts.
So, God could show Himself strong on their behalf. How so much this is modeled in God's words to David after he committed adultery and murder. God said David had given occasion for God's enemies to have something to say against Him.
He is the thrice Holy God. He has standards. Not just any and everything goes. We will only see Him manifest in our lives if and when we respect His holiness. Then and only then will He show Himself strong in our lives and on our behalf.
Let's pray.
The Saint.
