Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 13 W 3 D 5.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue digging in Daniel 6:3, "An Excellent Spirit." And, we ain't done with Abraham just yet. Our next stop is at verses 18-20 of Genesis 14. We see that Abraham gave a tithe of all. It was not demanded of him. He simply gave it as an act of worship.

Was it easy? Possibly not. I actually can bet it wasn't. Why? Abraham was a man of like passion as we are. Moreso, God does not receive that which does not cost us something. It was not a frivolous act. Nope. It was the response of a living sacrifice to worship.

He was not one who held too tightly to things. He understood that things are meant to be used not worshipped or enslaved. What we cannot give, we cannot have. That is the simple principle of life. It has nothing to do with it being a New Testament or Old Testament doctrine.

It is a response to God, not to a doctrine, church, religion, or person. It is the offering of a living sacrifice. Every other thing is a wash. How the pastor and church choose to use it is a case between them and God. If you have an issue with the church, then change. Go to the one you can be at peace with.

One with an excellent spirit is a giver, one with a generous spirit toward God and others.

Let's pray.

The Saint.
