Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 13 W 3 D 4.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you could make it.

We continue digging in Daniel 6:3, "An Excellent Spirit," as we lead ourselves into the place of prayers. We continue to learn from the excellent spirit that was in Abraham, the father of faith. How so appropriate that we are having to dwell on him.

In Genesis 14:14-16, we see Abraham's response to Lot being taken captive. Isn't it rather instructive that we are not told he resorted to prayers, no did he dilly dally on what to do. He was battle ready for such circumstances and triggered is existing response plan.

What kind of a person does that sell Abraham as? What can we learn here about one with an excellent spirit? Sure one with an excellent spirit is one who is proactive in the affairs of life. Such is not one who waits for life to happen but goes out to make life happen.

Abraham had men trained for battle in his household. Who does that? Surely one with an excellent spirit. Such is not a "que sera sera" personality. Such take initiative to make things happen. Such lives form inside out, and not from outside in. Such as an internal "Locus (center) of Control" (LOC).

They act in anticipation of the future - problems, needs, and or changes. They use change, rather than allow change use them. They anticipate and use change for their own rise. They take responsibility for their outcome, so they take charge of the inputs.

Do you have an excellent spirit? Why not if not?

Let's pray.

The Saint.
