Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 12 W 6 D 3.

Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you came.

We continue with our meditation in Daniel 6:3, with the topic, "An Excellent Spirit." The outright and faultless example of wisdom for us, in scripture, is Jesus Christ, himself. Isaiah 11:2 details the spirit that was on Christ. That, by extension, can be seen as features of an excellent spirit.

The first of these, we see, is the spirit of the Lord. It was no other spirit, but that which proceed from God himself. How so apt this is, as we are all created in the image and likeness of God. To this extent we live to the intent and purpose of our creation is the spirit of excellence seen and operational in our lives.

Daniel was not born again, nor was he baptized by the Holy Spirit. Yet, he exhibited this to such an extent that it was a distinguishing mark in his life. How much more are we who claim to be born again and baptized by the Holy Spirit? We are without excuse. No wonder the Apostle Paul admonishes us, "to walk in the spirit." It is not enough to be born of the spirit. We need to walk in the spirit. We need to live out that which is born in us. These are fruits, not gifts. They will not come out unless they are worked out. They are not automatic. They require effort. Drifting will not work them out. There has to be intentionality and discipline to squeeze them out.

The ball is in our hands. God has done His part. He has given us grace. It is up to us to ensure His grace is not in vain in our lives. We have to work on it. We have to run with it. We have to let our light so shine that men and women will see the image and likeness of the Creator in us.

Let's pray.

The Saint.
