Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you could make it.
We continue our dig in The Book of Daniel, Chapter 5. Do you recognize the reward for Daniel's working successfully on his defined path was becoming the third in command in the kingdom. Wow! Can you beat that.
In Daniel Chapter One, he and his friends were promoted. In Chapter Two, he was differentiated out from his friends. Even though they were all promoted, his was higher than that of his friends. Now in Chapter Five, he is further promoted to the highest position a foreigner can attain.
Wow! What that portends to us? If we stay on our ordained path and are diligent about the affairs of our lives, there is no limit to our promotion. God is judge. He is a rewarder. He is the promoter. He is not limited by environment or place.
Ours is to do our part and leave the rest to God. Daniel and his friends at no time sought the promotions they got. They were just about being faithful. The one who promotes and rewards saw their act and judged them worth of a raise.
When God judges you what will He find?
Let's pray.
The Saint.
