Welcome to another round of weeks in the Upper Room. So glad you made it. Trust you had a great rest.
We pick up where we stopped, the God in the Fire. I was at my University Fellowship Alumni meeting yesterday, and my beautiful sister shared an awesome message which rang with another message the Lord had in my heart. There has an opportunity to give it yesterday, but the unction was not strong enough to do that. So, let me abuse the opportunity here.
The Lord wants us to be intentional in all we do. Passivity does not cut it with the Lord with whom we have come to have fellowship. This rings with the series of teachings we did on Daniel 1:8, "The Power of Resolve." We are presently rerunning that series under the title, "Resolve."
God gave us a mind to be used, not ignored. The less we engage our mind the less we work in the fullness of who God is and all He wants to do in and through us. God will not have that. So, he will allow the earthquake and or the fire to give us a wake up call. It will continue till we get the message.
God's preference is to lead us with His eyes, but He will not stay there is we are not getting the message. He will chastise us if He has to. All for our good. He will get the message to us one way or the other. The way to work with God is a conscious and intentional following. Passivity will not cut it. Passivity is the way of hell.
The Father desires to give us the Kingdom. He will do all it takes to get us in line.
