Welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you made it.
Do you know most people suppose they have faith, but all they have is mere presumption. They suppose God will answer them, based on their own notion and feelings around the idea of god. Their prayer is to an unknown god.
Their belief is in a god of their own emotions, not the God of the bible. Is that not what the Israelite made unto themselves after rejecting God. They asked of Aaron to make them a god. Can you beat that?
They rejected the true God, then went on to make a god unto themselves. That is no different from the account in Numbers 14. They disobeyed and disbelieved God, then sudden turned around to supposed do that which God has moved away from.
