Believers' Prayer Meeting with The Saint | R 10 W 5 D 4.

You are welcome to the Upper Room. So glad you can.

So, a brother asked me this morning, if all was going well for me. How do you answer that? Well, the general and expected answer is YES! A big yes, irrespective of what the situation is. That is the easy answer to get going, both for you and the asker. Right?

However, is that the best answer? I guess it depends on who the person is, and possibly the existing relationship. The woman at Shunem answered differently depending on who asked. When her husband and Elisha's help asked, her answer was it is well, or it shall be well.

When it came to Elisha, her answer was different. She held on to him and would not let him go until she had the answer to the pain in her heart. What then is the moral of the story? There is no use throwing your issues on every Tom, Dick, and Harry. That is one extreme.

There is also no use keeping it all to yourself. You are going to break or bust. That is another extreme. The devil is in the adverbs. God, the solution to your challenges is always in the balance. Yes, let the weak say I am strong. Let the poor say I am rich.

Don't say it, if you do out of hypocrisy, or shame. If you do, say it out of the faith required. Say it will your facelift on high to Him who holds the answer to the questions and pain in your heart. If you do, say it as calling the things that be not as though they are.

And, if you don't still let it be based on faith, not self-pity. So, how did I answer my brother this morning? I simply stated the fact of life. I said, "Yes, we are doing well. Life is not without its challenges, but our face is on Him who has it all under control."

Let's pray.

The Saint.
